In accordance with the EU’s Revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and UK’s Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) rules, Actionstep has implemented 3D secure payment processing.
This is necessary to further secure your account and meet compliance regulations in your country.
3D Payment Authentication, also known as payer authentication, is a security protocol that helps to prevent fraud for online credit card and debit card transactions. It allows banks to request extra details from a card holder to verify a purchase.
WARNING: This is only applicable for UK & EU Actionstep users with Administrative access. |
Setting up 3D Payment Authentication
- Card Information Collection - Go into your subscription settings and select "Change Credit Card" and under "Credit Card Information", re-enter your credit card details.
- 3D Secure Enrollment Confirmation - The system will then check whether your card is registered for 3D Secure.
- Redirection to Your Provider’s 3D Secure Page- If 3D Secure enrollment is confirmed, you are then redirected to a 3D Secure page served by your card provider.
- Additional Security Authentication - On your provider's website, you will be asked to enter your unique password or a one-time authentication code which will be emailed to your confirmed email address or sent to your confirmed phone number.
- Redirection to Merchant’s Website - If your card authentication went successfully, you will be redirected back to Actionstep for payment confirmation.
- Once your 3D Payment Authentication is set up and verified, you will not be prompted to re-enter these details again.
