This article describes what is contained in the time and fee entries report.
The Time and Fee Entries report lists all fee entries per matter. It includes summaries, write-offs, and worked vs to bill settings. Each entry provides insight into whether it has been billed, which invoice contains the entry, or if it is unbilled.
WARNING: The Date range in this report relates to the "time entry" date not the invoice/bill date. The report does not include non-billable time entries. THIS REPORT SHOULD NOT BE USED TO CALCULATE INVOICED FEES BY FEE EARNER FOR A SPECIFIC INVOICE PERIOD. |
Entries are organized by date and display matter/client information.
Each time entry shows the timekeeper for the specific entry and the Responsible Lawyer for the associated matter.
NOTE: Discounts and fee adjustments on bills are not attributed to a specific timekeeper. Instead, the timekeeper is shown as "(N/A)" and the type is "Discount" or "Adjustment."
If discounts and adjustments are not being displayed, ensure that the Timekeeper filter is set to "All."
|
The Hours column displays the actual hours works and the time for which the entry is being billed.
The Billable column displays the rate for billable entries (non-billable entries do not populate this column). The value of the entry displays the billable hours * rate.
The Type column displays whether the entry is an hourly or fixed fee. This is based on the rate for time entry and not the billing arrangement for the matter.
The Code and Memo columns display the quick-code and memo on the time entry.
NOTE: The Code column displays quick-codes by default or the UTBMS code for matters with eBilling. |
Behavior displays the bill behavior for the entry. This can Bill, No Charge, or Hide. Inv# denotes the invoice to which the entry is attributed or if the entry has yet to be billed.
